The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering conducted Parents – Teachers Meeting on 05-10-2024 Saturday @ 11.00AM in the Thomas Alva Edison Hall. Dr.T.Senthil HOD/ECE welcomed the parents and briefed about the academic activities organized in the previous year & placement achievements .61 Parents of ECE students attended the PTA meeting. The mentors of the respective students discussed the academic performance of the students with the parents, including the attendance percentage of the students up to this week, internal tests -1 & 2 Marks and Anna University April /May 2024 Result. The parents also interacted with the faculty in the meeting and feedback was also collected. The Anna University Result Toppers appreciated with the shields in the presence of their parents.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized, one Academic Guest Lecture through physical mode with the Resource Person Dr.V.Arun Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering Anna University Regional Campus Madurai in the topic “Reconfigurable antenna for 5G Communication ” on 04-10-2024 Friday @ 11.00AM . Venue: Sir Visvesvaraya Seminar Hall, The students of II &III year ECE attended the guest lecture.Dr.T.Senthil HOD /ECE welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. The Resource person Dr.V.Arun briefed about the evolution of antenna design from 1G to 5G in the mobile technologies. The resource person described the mechanism of radiation and the types of antennas in various RF band frequencies.

To celebrate National Engineers Day , Dept of Electronics and Communication Engineering , AAACET organized one Guest Lecture with the Resource Person Dr.J.Deny IEDC Coordinator, Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education , Krishnankoil , in the topic – “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and Entrepreneurship for future engineers ” on 14-09-2024 Saturday @ 11.00 AM. Dr.T.Senthil HOD/ECE welcomed the gathering .The Resource Person Dr.J.Deny, focused the principle of intellectual property rights for the innovations in the form of copyrights, patents, and trademarks & business skills to help them for establish a successful enterprise.

Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized, one day webinar for celebrating National Science Day through online mode with the Resource Person Mr.Saravanan, Scientist –SCI/ENG-SE, ISRO, India in the topic “A brief overview of launch vehicle and satellites of ISRO in Space Technologies” on 24-08-2024 @ 10 AM . Venue: Sir Visvesvaraya Seminar Hall, Cambridge block. The students of IV &III year ECE attended the webinar. Dr.T.Senthil HOD & Professor /ECE welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person. The  Resource person Mr.Saravanan briefed about the evolution of launch vehicles, from SLV, ASLV, PSLV, GSLV and LVM3.designed and developed indigenously by the ISRO for carrying satellites  with varying payloads of 40 Kg to 8000 Kg. 

On 23-08-2024 Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Department of ECE AAACET and Electro Quantum Technologies, Coimbatore in the presence of Our Honourable Correspondent Dr.P.Ganesan. Mr.G.VARADHARAJU Proprietor, Electro Quantum Technologies, Coimbatore and Principal Dr.M.Sekar signed the MoU and exchanged the documents. This MoU intended for promoting collaboration in the area of Journal publication /Project guidance /conducting workshop /guest lecture /starting incubation centre etc . Dr.T.Senthil HOD/ECE and Dr.G.Jayahari Prabhu AP (SG) also signed as witness in the MoU.

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE students Chapter organized one day seminar cum ECE Association Inauguration on today 23-08-2024 Friday @ 10.00 AM in the Thomas Alva Edison seminar Hall, Mr.Varadharaju .G Managing Director ,Electro Quantum Technologies Coimbatore -642109 acted as the chief guest and delivered lecture in the topic “Current trends in the Embedded Software Engineering ” The students of II &III year ECE attended the seminar. Dr.T. Senthil Professor & Head /ECE l honoured the Chief Guest with memento shield and delivered inaugural address. The Resource person Mr.Varadharaju .G in his lecture briefly described about the overview of the Embedded Software Engineering applications in various fields like smart cities , Industrial automation, consumer electronics, automobiles and health care devices.

The ECE Department organized a programme for observing the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day 2024 on 14-08-2024 @ 3.00PM in the Thomas Alva Edison Hall by screening the video script, curated by the National School of Drama (NSD). The script of the play is designed to educate and raise awareness among students about the events of Partition, the impact it had on millions of lives, and the importance of remembering this chapter of our history.efore screening Dr.T.Senthil HOD/ECE, briefed about the happening during the India – Pakistan partition and how the millions of people suffered. All the III Year ECE students viewed the play with the link provided by the UGC. The play screened with the English subtitle and the students also entered into the state of agony by being aware of the undue incidents that happened during the partition.
