Institution Innovation Council and IPR Cell of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi, in association with Shiksha Sanskrithi Utthan Nyas, Tamil Nadu organized a one-day workshop on “Modern E Tools for Drafting Research Articles” on 13.05.2024. Dr. B. Surendiran, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering at NIT Puducherry, & P. Senthamaraikannan, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering at KSR Institute for Engineering and Technology, served as resource persons for the workshop. Both resource persons shared their expertise with participants from various academic backgrounds, providing valuable insights on the topic. His contribution was well received, and the workshop was deemed a success in aiding participants in improving their research article drafting skills. Finally, we signed an MOU with Shiksha Sanskrithi Utthan Nyas, Technical Education. Tamil Nadu.

Guest Lecture on “Biomimicry-Science Innovation” on 28.02.2024
In view of Science day celebration the Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of AAA College of Engineering organized a “Guest Lecture on Biomimicry-Science Innovation” on 28.02.2024. The Programme was conducted at Thomas Alva Edison hall, Cambridge block. Ms.S.Selvapriya, Third Year, Department of EEE, Student Co-ordinator IIC, extended a warm greeting to the delightful gathering followed by Dr.G.Vairamuthu, President, IIC, who gave a brief about the guest lecture conducted at AAACET.
Prof.Mr.M.Rajesh, Department of Zoology, The American College, President, Tamilnadu Science forum, Madurai was the resource person for this guest lecture. The Resource person focused on green building techniques that included biomimicry (how nature can be imitated in design) and how mimicry can help architects create a more efficient, sustainable and beautiful by learning from nature’s wisdom. In this presentation, he spoke about using nature in design-how the different parts of trees can be taken as an inspiration to create buildings. Objectives of conducting this lecture is to create products, processes, and systems new ways of living that solve our greatest design challenges sustainably and in solidarity with all life on earth. We can use biomimicry to not only learn from nature’s wisdom, but also heal ourselves and this planet in the process. . Benefit of conducting this lecture on biomimicry is to offer an empathetic, interconnected understanding of how life works and ultimately where we fit in. During the feedback session, the participants interacted with the resource person and clarified their queries regarding this biomimicry. Nearly 45 students and 10 faculty members were participated in this guest lecture. Ms.S.Mareeswari, Third Year, Department of EEE delivered the Vote of Thanks. Finally the Programme was ended with national anthem.
One Day Visit to K.R. Innovation Centre on 26.02.2024
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of AAA College of Engineering arranged one day visit to K.R. Innovation Centre, NEC Business Incubator at National Engineering College, Kovilpatti on 26-02-2024. The objective of the AAACET faculties and students visit was, to explore the National Engineering College incubation center and witness the innovative projects of students and start-up companies. 5 faculties and 22 IIC student members visited the incubation centre, New Generation, Innovation Entrepreneurship Development Centre at National Engineering College. The incubation center at National Engineering College is a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship. It provides a platform for students, faculty, and start-up companies to collaborate and create cutting-edge technologies. The center offers services such as mentorship, Internship and funding support to help young entrepreneurs and innovators turn their ideas into successful businesses. Dr.T.Sakthi,AP(SG),Co-coordinator/KRIC, explained about the various startup companies at NEC and various funding scheme for the innovative projects and start-up policies for promoting successful student entrepreneurs. The students and faculties interacted with the KRIC coordinator for applying funding and filing the patent of innovative projects. The AAACET team also visited the work space for Conceive-Design-Implement-Operate(CDIO). More than 50 prototype model were implemented by their students and showcased their ideas. The students and faculties of AAACET also interacted with the KRIC coordinator about the ongoing innovation projects. Dr.G.Vairamuthu thanked Dr.K.Manisekar, Dean(Innovation and Entrepreneurship) and KRIC Co- coordinators for giving opportunities to visit the K.R. Innovation Centre, NEC Business Incubator at National Engineering College.
Workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design” on 19.02.2024
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of AAA College of Engineering organized a workshop on “Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design” for all III-year students of AAA College of Engineering and Technology on 19.02.2024. The Programme was conducted at Thomas Alva Edison Hall, Cambridge Block from 11.00 am to 01.00 pm. Dr. G. Vairamuthu ASP/MECH, President – IIC – AAACET, extended a warm greeting to the delightful gathering. The main objective of the program is to give an overview of design thinking, critical thinking concepts, their significance, and their interplay in fostering innovation and problem-solving. This workshop will help the students to improve their innovative thinking and make new prototype models with recent technology. Mrs. V. Chandra AP/EEE, delivered the vote of thanks. Finally, the program ended with the national anthem.
Cambridge Startup Boot Camp – Transforming Dreamers to Doers’ on 09-02-2024
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a seminar titled ‘Cambridge Startup Boot Camp – Transforming Dreamers to Doers’. This session took place on February 09, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Dr. G. Vairamuthu, President of IIC, presided over the event. The session commenced with a welcome address from Ms. S.Selvapriya, a third-year student in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, who introduced the esteemed speaker. Mr. E. Roland Lamuel, Cambridge Course Instructor and Startup Mentor, Managing Director – Rolandlam Startup Consulting Private Limited, Chennai served as the resource person for the session.
Mr. E. Roland Lamuel initiated the session by addressing how to become an entrepreneur. He discussed various details about startup like how to start a Startup and how can use seed capital to invest in research and to develop their business plans. Further, He discussed certification course to learn about entrepreneurship. The session was absolutely motivational and useful event to build a new carrier. His valuable words were highly beneficial for the students to attain their knowledge.
The session concluded with interactive questions and answers, during which participants engaged with the speaker. Expressing gratitude on behalf of the organizers, Ms. G.Anushiya, a third-year student in Computer Science and Engineering, delivered a vote of thanks.
A total of 190 students from various departments participated in the session. The event drew to a close at 11.30 p.m. with the rendition of the national anthem.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship Outreach Program for School Students on 07.02.2024
The Program School Innovation Development Project (PSIDP) of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, in collaboration with the Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC), has successfully organized an “Innovation and Entrepreneurship Outreach Program” in schools and communities of Virudhunagar district. The primary objective of this program was to encourage and nurture innovative thinking and entrepreneurial skills among students from a young age. The program began with an inspiring speech by the college principal, Dr. M. Sekar, Chairperson, IIC – AAACET who emphasized the importance of instilling innovation from the very beginning of a student’s educational journey. Finally, Dr.G.Vairamuthu, President IIC – AAACET conclude the Program School Innovation Development Project and the Innovation and Incubation Center of AAA College of Engineering and Technology have set an exemplary model for other institutions to follow.
“Innovative Bharat” Institution’s Innovation Council – Regional Meet on 24.01.2024
Ministry of Education’s innovation Cell – AICTE organized the “Innovative Bharat” Institution’s Innovation Council – REGIONAL MEET TIRUNELVELI was held in Francis xavier Engineering College, Tirunelveli on 24-01-2024.
The IIC regional meet-up at Francis Xavier College of Engineering and Technology, held on January 24, 2024, was a pivotal event aimed at fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and innovation within the regional ecosystem. With the primary objective of promoting a culture of innovation among students, faculty, and industry professionals, the program provided a dynamic platform for attendees to network, share ideas, and develop essential skills. The event attracted a robust turnout, with students from various institutions and faculty members actively participating in various activities. From our college Dr. G. Vairamuthu, IIC president, Mr. M. Siva Sankar, EDC Coordinator, and Mr. R. Muthu Eshwaran, Start-up Coordinator, attended the meeting with two student project teams of five students. The stalls have been provided there for the project display. Our students presented their projects and demonstrated their ideas to the viewers and industrial experts.
Throughout the day, we were engaged in enlightening discussions, attended workshops, and listened to insightful presentations from distinguished speakers. The program’s diverse agenda encompassed topics such as emerging technologies, entrepreneurship opportunities, and intellectual property rights, catering to the varied interests and needs of the audience. One of the key highlights of the meet-up was the opportunity for startups to showcase their innovative solutions, facilitating valuable connections between entrepreneurs and potential investors. The event not only provided a platform for knowledge exchange but also catalyzed inspiration and collaboration. Attendees benefited immensely from the networking opportunities, forging new connections and exploring potential collaborations that could drive future innovation initiatives. Finally, from the project exhibitions, the best projects and ideas were selected and prizes were given.
In conclusion, the IIC regional meet-up at Francis Xavier College of Engineering and Technology was a resounding success, achieving its objectives of promoting innovation, fostering collaboration, and empowering the next generation of innovators. The event left a lasting impact on attendees, inspiring them to continue their journey towards driving positive change through innovation and entrepreneurship.
Seminar on ‘Understanding Latin America, its relation with India: Business opportunities and possibilities’ on 04.12.2023
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), organized a Seminar titled ‘Understanding Latin America, its relation with India: Business opportunities and possibilities.’ The session took place on December 04, 2023, at 03.00 p.m. Dr. G. Vairamuthu, President of IIC, presided over the event. The session commenced with a welcome address from G. Nithya, II Year CSE, who introduced the esteemed resource person.
Mr. Kundan Kanan, Managing Partner & Co-Founder, India-Latin American Countries Consortium (INLACE), served as the resource person for the session. He initiated the session by highlighting his expertise and experience in the field of entrepreneurship and Business opportunities. After that, He discussed on the key features of INLACE. He also explained the working areas and objectives of INLACE. Furthermore, He emphasized What can INLACE do for us. Then, He discussed on various LAC countries based on their economy and GDP. He also addressed the relation between India and LAC. Followed by this, valuable resources of Panama City were highlighted. Finally, He discussed how to utilize the INLACE for the starting a business in LAC region.
The session wrapped up with a dynamic question-and-answer session, where participants actively interacted with the speaker, posing insightful questions and engaging in meaningful discussions. A total of 111 students participated in the session. The event drew to a close at 04.30 p.m.
Innovators Day Celebration on 30.10.2023
Under the auspices of Science and Humanities Association, Jointly organized in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) 2023-2024, a Innovators day celebration (Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha – 113th Birth Anniversary) session was organized on 30th October 2023 at 1:30 p.m Kamarajar Auditorium, AAA College of Engineering and Technology (AAACET), Amathur, Sivakasi (Virudhunagar Dist).
Dr.G.Vairamuthu, Associate Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, President, IIC welcomed the gathering. Dr. J. Dharmaraja, Professor and HOD-S&H, offered felicitation. Dr. K. Prabakaran, Assistant Professor, Department of Science and Humanities (Innovation Coordinator, IIC), AAACET delivered lecture on “Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha – Innovation’s/Discoveries)”. In continuation, Dr. M.P. Indira Devi gave the short insight about Dr. Bhabha’s life, carrier. In order to create scientific fervor, student-members were presenting the quick presentation about Dr. Bhabha precise details. All the students and faculty from the department of science and humanities, IIC Coordinators were present. Mr. Sivakumar, a first-year student in Electrical Engineering, delivered a vote of thanks.
