Department of Mechanical Engineering has conducted a one day theory with practical classes on 18.09.2019 at Anamalais toyota sales and service center, Virudhunagar.
Two Days IV Year Civil Industrial Visit
Department of Civil Engineering organized two days industrial visit to Cochin Shipyard and Wonderla Water Treatment Plant on 1st and 2nd March 2019. Students have visited the various areas in the shipping yard like dolphins, wharves, mooring accessories, dock and etc. Students have studied the various treatment process under taken in Wonderla water treatment plant, Cochin, for the water utilized for water games.
IV Civil Industrial Visit
Students were explained the catchment area, various components of the dam,the beneficiary areas. They were taken inside the infiltration gallery.
IV Year Civil Industrial Visit
Students visited Combined Water Supply Scheme (CWSS) for Andipatti – Sedapatti. They have seen the raw water input, treatment procedures and delivery of water to various areas under this scheme.
II Year Civil Industrial Visit
Students were taken to various sections of RAMCO Cement factory and they were explained about the activities carried out in each section for about four hours
II ECE Industrial Visit
District Telecom Centre, Virudhunagar is one of the prime centre of BSNL in the south region of Tamilnadu. BSNL is the only service provider, making focused efforts & planned initiatives to bridge the rural-urban digital divide in ICT sector. BSNL serves its customers with a wide bouquet of telecom services namely Wire line, CDMA mobile, GSM mobile, Internet, Broadband, Carrier service, MPLS-VPN, VSAT, VoIP, IN Services, FTTH, etc.
During the visit the students were informed of the Telecom equipment’s and working in the network.The models and equipment’s were distributed in various labs of District Telecom Centre listed as below:

- Digital Telephone Exchange – C-Dot Lab
- Mobile Communication Lab
- Computer Networking and IP Addressing Lab
ECE Industrial Visit
U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), Bengaluru, formerly known as ISRO Satellite Centre (ISAC) is the lead centre for building satellites and developing associated satellite technologies. These spacecraft are used for providing applications to various users in the area of Communication, Navigation, Meteorology, Remote Sensing, Space Science and interplanetary explorations. The Centre is also pursuing advanced technologies for future missions
During the visit students were shown the Space exhibition showcasing different models of Satellites and different parts of a typical satellite. All the previous ISRO satellites are shown in the form of models. Also models of different Satellite launch vehicles (ASLV, PSLV and GSLV) used to launch from smaller to larger satellites are shown. Smaller electronic circuit components are also presented in the exhibition.
The industry visit to URSC ISRO has proved to be highly beneficial for inculcating the basic knowhow about the Indian satellites, their composition and functioning among the AAACET ECE students.
One Day Industrial Visit to Kudankulam Nuclear Power plant on15.02.2019
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a One Day Industrial Visit to Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant on 15.02.2019. The students understood the concept of electrical energy generation and transmission. They visited the turbine unit, generator unit and generating side transformers. This visit gave more information about the types of nuclear reactor and types of generator used for generating electricity.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a One Day Industrial Visit to Lovely Ofset Printers Pvt. Ltd., Sivakasi on 19.09.2018. This industrial visit was most useful to the students in the way of understood the concept of different types of sensors, electrical drives and control used in the printing machineries. And also understood the concepts behind the 3D printing.
