The Department of Mechanical Engineering has organised a one-day Industrial visit to ANAAMALAIS TOYOTA, Sivakasi, on 25.04.2023 for B.E. IV year Mechanical Engineering students. Dr.P.Senni kannan (HoD/Mech), Mr.G.Manikandaraja (Asst. Prof.) and Mr. M.Karthikeyan (Asst. Prof.), faculty of Mechanical Engineering department, accompanied this industrial visit. The HR of Anaamalais Toyota received us at the entrance and gave a brief introduction about the industry. Then he took us around the industry from one section to the next and explained the processes involved in general service, waterwash, spare parts, tools room, painting section, engine room etc. The workers were doing their work with more concentration. Everyone inside the industry was wearing masks, safety shoes and gloves. Finally, the industrial visit ends at 12:40 P.M.
Three-days National Level Workshop on “MEP-Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning” from 04.04.2023 to 06.04.2023
A three-day National Level Workshop on “MEP-Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning” was conducted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering from 04.04.2023 to 06.04.2023 at AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi. 120 students and Faculty from various engineering and Polytechnic colleges participated in this training. Third year student K. Kishore Pandiyarajan delivered the welcome address on the first day of the training session.
College Principal Dr. M.Sekar emphasized the need for this training and gave a Felicitation speech to the students about the technical employment required in the air conditioning sector in the future as well as abroad. And the Resource person honored by the Principal with a memento.
Head of Department Dr. P. Seenikannan explained to the students the importance and merits of the workshop and the software taught in the workshop. Mr.V.Muthu Prakash from Innovative Engineering Solutions, Chennai., participated as the Resource person of this training workshop and provided software training and hands on technical training to the students.
At the end of the training, certificates were awarded to the students who participated in the training. Second year student K. Sujitha thanked the college management, college principal, department heads, department professors and all those who participated in the training for their help in organizing this training workshop.
This training workshop was conducted by Professors of Mechanical Engineering Mr. M. Kaliraj and M. Nagendran had organized well.

M.MUTHAIYA of 2nd Year Mechanical Engineering won First prize in the event Water Rocketry. The Students were congratulated by the Principal, Mr VM Pandian AP/ ME and Mr Senthil Maharaj AP/ME.

Mechanical Industrial visit to VVV & SONS EDIBLE OILS LTD, Virudhunagar on 04.11.2022
The Department of Mechanical Engineering Association organised a one-day industrial visit to VVV & SONS EDIBLE OILS LTD, Virudhunagar, on 04, November, 2022, for B.E. II year Mechanical Engineering students. Dr.P.Seenikannan, HOD/Mech, Dr.G.Vairamuthu, (Asso. prof.), Dr. R.B.Jeen Robert (Asso. prof.), Mr.G.Manikandaraja (Asst. Prof.) faculty of Mechanical Engineering department accompanied with this industrial visit. The plant head received us at the entrance and gave a brief introduction about the factory in the presentation hall. Then he took us around the industry from one section to the next and explained the processes involved in making oil. Everyone inside the industry was wearing masks, safety shoes, covered hair, and gloves. The students are very interested in live learning such as: filtering process, heating process and storage yard. Finally, the industrial visit ends at 1:40 P.M.
Hands on Training – Mechtronics” on 01.10.2022
SAE India Collegiate Club of AAACET was conduct one day “Hands on training – Mechatronics” to final year Mechanical Engineering students of AAA college of engineering and Technology on 01.10.2022 in Mechanical Department, the chief Guest of Mr.A.Arunkumar M.E, Assistant Professor/ Mechatronics Department, Kamarajar College of Engineering and Technology, Madurai., giving training on Hydraulic system, Pneumatic system and also give brief introduction about Fluidsim software. , Dr.P.Seeni kannan HOD/Mechanical delivered important future mechatronics and honoring Chief Guest. Mr.M.Nagendran AP/Mech was giving introduction to chief guest and give warm welcome, Mr.A.Vignesh Moorthy Pandian AP/Mech was arrange this event and 40 students attended this event.
Mechanical Industrial visit to Thermal Power Station, Tuticorin on 21.09.2022
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, organized one-day Industrial visit to TUTICORIN THERMAL POWER STATION, Tuticorin on 21st, September, 2022 for B.E. III year Mechanical Engineering students. Dr.G.vairamuthu (Associate Professor), Mr.A.Vignesh Moorthy Pandiyan (Asst. Prof.), Mr.R.Meby Selvaraj (Asst. Prof.),Mr. S.Balamurugan (Asst. Prof.) and Mr. M.Kaliraj (Asst. Prof.), faculty of Mechanical Engineering department were accompanied with this industrial visit. Training Engineer of Thermal Power Plant gave a detailed explanation on the processing of fuel materials, generation of electricity, types of pulverizer, Cooling Tower and safety practices followed in the industry. After that we were provided with a safety helmets and then an engineer-in-charge took us inside the power plant. He took us around the power plant from one section to another and explained each and every process involved in the generation of the electricity. Since all the processes are automated, it was handled by the control unit. All the process is centrally controlled by the control unit, it shows each and every status of the process happening. It can be monitored through data points. Finally, the industrial visit ends at 02:30P.M.
Mechanical Industrial Visit to Ramco Cements, Virudhunagar on 09.09.2022
The Department of Mechanical Engineering has organised a one-day Industrial visit to THE RAMCO CEMENTS LIMITED, Virudhunagar, on 09, September, 2022, for B.E. III year Mechanical Engineering students. Dr.P.SeeniKannan (Professor and Head), Mr.R.Meby Selvaraj (Asst. Prof.), Mr. G.Manikandaraja (Asst. Prof.) and Mr. M.Kaliraj (Asst. Prof.), faculty of the Mechanical Engineering department, were accompanied by this industrial visit.
There, the Ramco employers greeted us with buttermilk as a refreshment. Then, an engineer-in-charge of production at Ramco Cements Limited gave a detailed explanation of the usage of raw materials, the manufacture of the cements, the types of cements, a few basics in the machining and safety instructions to maintain safety. The plant manager explained each and every process involved in the production of the cement. Finally, the industrial visit ends at 01:40P.M. The students of Mechanical Engineering learned how the machines are controlled through a control system, the mechanical processes involved in the manufacturing of cements and 5S principles followed in the factory.
Association of Mechanical Engineers & Workshop on “Design Thinking: A Structure Approach to Innovation” – 07/09/2022
Inaugural function of Association of Mechanical Engineers was conducted on 07th September 2022 Wednesday (FN) at Sir Visvesvaraya seminar hall Cambridge block. The function started with a prayer song. Dr.P.Seenikannan., Dean & Head of Mechanical Engineering Department welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Sekar, Principal gave the felicitation address and insisted the importance of Research & Skill Development in Design Engineering field. Mr.M.Kaliraj, AP/Mech & Association Coordinator have Introducing the Association Office bearers & Academic Plan for the year (2022-2023).

In this ceremony, a Workshop on “DESIGN THINKING – A STRUCTURE APPROACH TO INNOVATION” was conducted by Mr. C. ARUN SUDDARSHAN Chief Design Officer, Dot 2 Dot Business Designers, Madurai.
