The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, in association with the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), organized a sponsored seminar on “Smart Home Automation with 360° Monitoring using Mobile Apps” on 09.09.2024. Dr. N. Ragavan, Team lead in Srimax Software Technology, SIvakasi was the resource person for this seminar. The seminar aimed to introduce students and faculty members to the latest trends and advancements in home automation systems, highlighting the integration of 360-degree monitoring solutions accessible via mobile applications. Dr. C. Senthil Kumar, Professor and Head of EEE, delivered the inaugural address. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of home automation in the context of the rapidly evolving technological landscape and the role of engineers in shaping smart solutions for tomorrow. The Seminar session included live demonstrations of various smart home devices and their functionalities, capturing the audience’s attention and highlighting practical applications of these technologies. The EEE Association for the academic year 2024-2025 was formally inaugurated during the event. The newly selected office bearers were introduced, followed by an overview of the upcoming calendar activities planned by the association, which aim to foster technical skills, innovation, and collaboration among students.The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. K. Gayathiri, III Year EEE expressing gratitude to the guest speaker, the organizing team, and the attendees for making the seminar a successful and informative event.
