POWER ELECTRONICS LABORATORY

Power Electronics is the technology associated with efficient conversion, control and conditioning of electric power from its available input into the desired electrical output form. Power Electronics laboratory is a platform where students are exposed to study and learn the working and characteristics of advanced power semiconductor switches. Students perform experiments with different power converters, inverters, DC-DC converters and AC-AC converters. Power Electronic converters find extensive applications in control of electrical drives, lighting control, heating control and renewable energy systems. This laboratory provides a wealth of technical information and contributes to learn about the design of control circuits and hardware implementation.
