Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) – AAACET are jointly organized the Workshop on ‘Entrepreneurship skill, Attitude and Behavior Development’ on 25-02-2022 at 10.30 AM. Dr.G.Vairamuthu, President, IIC who preside over the event. The event started with a welcome address by Ms.N.Sangavi, III year / CIVIL, EDC Member and Mr.M.Sivasankar, AP/CIVIL, EDC Coordinator who gave a brief introduction about this session. Mr.R.Venkatesh, B.E., MBA. Head, CARE Business School, is the eminent speaker for this webinar. Mr.R.Venkatesh explained about various problems in the society that makes opportunity for young Entrepreneurs. He also explained the New Techniques for Innovation called SCAMPAR (S- Simplify or Substitute, C – Combine, A – Adapt, M – Modify or Magnify or Minimize, P – Put to other use, E – Eliminate and R – Reverse or Rearrange). The event was backed-up from the participant’s end with an interactive live Question and Answers session. The event came to an end with a vote of thanks and the participants gave their feedback. Totally 77 participants from various departments were participated in this interactive session. Finally the session came to an end at 11.30 A.M

Certificate Course on “PLANNING AND DRAFTING OF BUILDINGS USING AUTOCAD SOFTWARE” – 24/02/2022
The Department of Civil Engineering organized a certificate course on “Planning and drafting of buildings using AutoCAD software” from 24/02/2022 to 01/03/2022 in the CAD/CAM laboratory, Cambridge Block, I floor. Mr.T.Thirukumaran, AP/Civil and Mr.T.Manikandan, AP/Civil were the resource people for the course. In addition, Ms. K.Krishiga, AP/Civil explained about plotting and dimensioning of plan with consideration of Vasthu sastra. Forty students from II year B.E. Civil Engineering Department attended the course.
AUTOCAD is most commonly used software for creating and modifying two dimensional drafting with detailed information about the conceptual design of buildings. The five days course helped the students to plan the requirements of buildings and draw the approval plan as per DTCP norms. The participants attended all the section with full interest and cleared their doubts during the question and answer section. The five days certification course came to an end with participants sharing their feedback.
CERTIFICATION COURSE ON OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING WITH JAVA – 21/02/2022
The department of Computer Science and Engineering organized a Certificate Course on OBJECT ORIENTED PROGRAMMING WITH JAVA during the period of 21/02/2022 to 25/02/2022.Students of third year Computer and Science Engineering department had attended the course. Dr.M.Sekar, Principal, AAA College of Engineering and Technology gave the felicitation address. Dr.J.Sutha, Professor and Head / CSE, Welcomed the gathering. Dr.P. Elamparithi AP/CSE, Mr.R.Prabhu AP/CSE, Mrs. G.Kavitha AP/CSE and Mr.K.Palraj AP /CSE were the resource persons of the course, Mr.K.Palraj, AP/ CSE organized this course.
The main objective of this course was to crack the technical rounds in the interview. This Course was motivated the students to attend the interview with full of confident and with good knowledge in technical. By this course, students knew about how to write the program.
Totally 62 students of third Year CSE gets benefitted from this course. At the end of each session, Quiz was conducted. At end of the course, the students who are performed well they are honored by the Principal. He distributed the certificates to the students. At the end of the course, Ms. Sai Janani of third year gave vote of thanks. The students appreciated the course instructors. As such, we can conclude that, this program appeared to have been met the main motto and the provision of this course is highly valued by members.

Faculty Development Program on “Modern Survey Training using Total Station and Digital Global Positioning System and processing using Civil 3D” – 17/02/2022
The Department of Civil Engineering of AAACET organized a Faculty Development Program on “Modern Survey Training using Total Station & Digital Global Positioning System and processing using Civil 3D” from 17/02/2022 to 21/02/2022. Dr.Thomas Gnanadurai, M.E., Ph.D., Duken Engineers, Thiruthangal, Sivakasi was the resource person for this event. The FDP aimed at imparting skills useful for conducting surveying works using Total Station & Digital Global Positioning System. The FDP was inaugurated on 17/02/2022 in the presence of the Principal Dr.M.Sekar, Civil Engineering faculty and students.
All the faculty members (10 Nos.) of Civil Engineering Department participated in the FDP and were trained to handle total station & DGPS and process the data using Civil 3D software. Total station and DGPS are modern surveying instruments which include functions of dumpy level, auto level and other conventional survey instruments. Also it is digital, automatic and provides high accurate data for solution of geodetic tasks. The use of AutoCAD Civil 3D software tools facilitates and accelerates the process of depicting engineering and land grade planning. Measurement with Total Station and depiction with AutoCAD Civil 3D have become one of the soft skill competencies to be possessed by Civil Engineering graduates. This five-day FDP helped the participants to get hands-on training on conducting survey using total station & DGPS and process the data using Civil 3D software. The participants attended all the sessions with enthusiasm and cleared their doubts during the interactive question and answer session. The FDP came to an end with the participants sharing their feedback.

SEMINAR ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS, START-UP & INNOVATIONS
The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of AAA College of Engineering Technology, Sivakasi in collaboration with NRDC – Anna University Facilitation Center, CIPR organized “Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights, Start-up & Innovations” on 29.12.2021. Dr.M.Kantha Babu, Director, Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai is the chief guest. Nearly 110 students and faculty members from various departments attended the seminar. The function started with a prayer song. President of IIC, Dr. G. Vairamuthu ASP/Mech started the seminar by welcoming the gathering. Dr. M. Sekar, Principal, AAA College of Engineering & Technology gave the inaugural address and insisted the students about the importance of intellectual property rights and starting a business. Ms. P. Thangasudha, of final year CSE introduced the chief guest. Dr. M. Kantha Babu, Director of CIPR provided valuable awareness and insight on the various aspects of Innovation, Intellectual Property Rights and Start-up. He briefed about how to do innovative projects in final year. Students interacted with the resource person actively. Mrs. G. Kavitha, AP/CSE, delivered the vote of thanks. Finally the programme was ended with national anthem. All arrangements for the seminar were specially arranged by the Secretary Dr. P. Karvannan, Correspondent Dr. P. Ganesan, Joint Secretary Dr. K. INCUBATION CENTRE VISIT
A team of 15 Institution Innovation Council (IIC) faculties and 11 IIC student members of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi visited the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE), Krishnakoil on 05.02.2022. Our IIC teams are visited the incubation centre, Fab lab, Makers Space centre and International Research centres. The main objective of this visit is to promote the innovative ideas with advanced knowledge can utilize the advanced tools / software in modern era. Dr. J. Deny, president & coordinator of IEDC explained the role and functions of IEDC with our students how to apply patent, receive funds from various funding agencies through MIC–IIC schemes, etc. The director of ACIC–KIF explained the role of Makers Space centre in our current needs with innovative tools applied. From this visit, our IIC students and faculties gathered vast information about her / his ideas implemented to our institutions and society.
