Vivekananda Kendra organised competition for school children up to 10 class on 14th October 2023 in AAACET campus. Students from Virudhunagar district have participated in eight categories of competitions and won prizes. The prizes were awarded to the winners by Mr. Petchiappan, Coordinator Vivekananda Kendra, Mr. P. S. R. Senthil Maharaj Literary and fine arts club coordinator AAACET and Dr. M. Sekar Principal AAACET. In his address Principal asked the young minds to follow the footsteps of Swami Vivekananda for achieving life goals. A large number of students, teachers and parents gathered to witness the events.
Guest Lecture on “Condition Assessment of High Voltage Insulation in Power System Equipment” on 09.10.2023
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a guest lecture ‘Guest Lecture on Condition Assessment of High Voltage Insulation in Power System Equipment’ on 09.10.2023. The students of III and IV year Electrical and Electronics Engineering participated in the programme. S. Selva Priya of III year EEE welcomed the gathering and S. Mareeswari of III year EEE introduced the resource person to the audience. Dr. C. Senthil Kumar Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering honoured the resource person with a memento and a gift.
The resource person of the guest lecture was Mr. K. Kumar, M.E., (Ph.D.) Assistant Professor, National Engineering College, Kovilpatti. The guest lecture was aimed at providing insights into the critical role of condition monitoring in ensuring the reliability and safety of the high voltage power systems. He shared the knowledge about the importance of High Voltage Power Systems, challenges in High Voltage Equipment maintenance, role of Condition Monitoring and its techniques. The lecture also addressed the trend towards remote monitoring and its advantages, including reduced human interventions and enhanced safety. At the end of the session he cleared the queries of the students and received feedback from the students. S. Mareeswari of III year EEE delivered the vote of thanks. Sketching Event on 13.10.2023
On October 13, 2023, at 3:00 PM, a Bike Sketching Event was conducted at Department of Mechanical Engineering. This event was organized for the students of the third year of the Mechanical Engineering department. The purpose of the event was to encourage students’ creativity and provide them with an opportunity to highlight their sketching skills related to automotive design.
The event started promptly at 2:00 PM, with 15 enthusiastic participants from the third year of the Mechanical Engineering department. The event was conducted in a spacious and well-lit room, which provided a conducive environment for sketching.
Each participant was provided with the necessary sketching materials, including sketchbooks, pencils, erasers, and rulers. They were then given a specific time frame to sketch their car design concept. The participants exhibited their creativity and automotive design skills during this session.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners. Prizes were awarded to the top three participants with the most outstanding sketches. The winners received certificates and tokens of appreciation.
The Bike Sketching Event conducted on October 13, 2023, was a resounding success. It provided a platform for the students to express their artistic talents and highlight their enthusiasm for automotive design. The event encouraged healthy competition and collaboration among participants. We would like to extend our gratitude to all the participants, judges, and the organizing team for making this event a memorable and successful one. The organizers are committed to hosting more such events in the future to nurture and promote the creative talents of our students in the field of Mechanical Engineering. Awareness program on Food Adulteration and Food Safety on 04.10.2023
The NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, in collaboration with the Virudhunagar District Food Safety Department, conducted an awareness program on food adulteration on the college campus on April 10, 2023 to create awareness among the students about the adulteration of food. The principal, Dr. M. Sekar, welcomed the chief guest from the food safety department and also explained the importance of healthy food for a healthy life to the students. In this event, Mr. Ibrahim, Food Safety Officer, explained to the students the operations of the mobile laboratory with testing equipment for adulterated food products. SAE Trekking & Auto Expo Visit on 30.09.2023
SAE Trek is a one-day event that focuses on Automotive Knowledge competition by objective exam and dream car sketching contest. The Trek mainly emphasizes the need and positive effects of relaxation, joy and fun apart from getting to know new friends. So, trek were conducted on various factors like safety, pleasant weather, greenery, etc
Trek started at around 9 a.m from Madurai. Mr. A. Vignesh Moorthy Pandian accompanied it for the trek. Trek started from Alagarkoil hills down site, with a total strength of around 15 members. We trekked uphill towards Alagarkoil Hills, taking pictures on the way and enjoying the lush green around us. At around 11:00 a.m. we reached Pazhamudhircholai, had a small break there and started back downhill through the forest side. This was wonderful as we could come by watching the nature and enjoy the scenery around us.
After that, we visited Madurai Auto Expo 2023, at the Tamukkam Ground in Madurai. The expo aimed to show cases the latest developments and changes in the automobile industry, particularly in cars, two-wheelers, Lorries, tractors, and spare parts. With 140 stalls in total, including 20 stalls for cars and two-wheelers, this event brought together leading auto parts manufacturing plants and manufacturers from across India. The expo provided a platform to understand and appreciate the recent advancements in the automotive industry, with a specific focus on spare parts. Notably, the inclusion of pre-1947 vehicles, vintage bikes, and cars added a unique historical perspective to the event, giving visitors the chance to witness the evolution of automobiles. The event aimed to raise awareness about road safety and accident prevention, which is a critical concern in the automotive industry

Clean India – Clean Campus Program on 29.09.2023
With the vision of creating a clean nation, Mahatma Gandhi coined the phrase “Cleanliness is Godliness.” In view of Gandhiji’s birthday celebration, the NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi, conducted a “Clean India—Clean Campus” program on September 29, 2023, on the college campus. The chief guests, Dr.C. Senthil Kumar, HoD/EEE, and Dr.S. Krishnapriya, HoD/Civil, paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. The NSS volunteers explained the importance of cleanliness to the college students. The volunteers cleaned the college campus by wearing gloves and collecting all the plastic waste materials. NSS Volunteer Antony Raja (II Year Mechanical) insisted all the students keep their classes clean by dropping the waste in the dustbin. This program was coordinated by NSS unit coordinator Mr. S. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr. M. Veerukkannan, Physical Director.
Civil Association Inauguration and Guest Lecture on “The Happiest Civil Engineer”
The Department of Civil Engineering of AAA College of Engineering & Technology, Sivakasi inaugurated the Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA) & organized Guest lecture on “The Happiest Civil Engineer” on 25th September 2023 at Thomas Alva Edison Hall, Cambridge block.
Mr.S.Dinesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering welcomed the Chief Guest. The resource person, Er.S.B.Arun Prakash, B.E., CEO, Kriya Architects, Sivakasi addressed the gathering. Mr. T. Manikandan, AP/Civil & Association In-charge introduced the Association Office bearers for the academic year of 2023-2024. The resource person gave detailed introduction about the happiest Civil Engineer. He gave insight into innovative construction technologies, interior & exterior design. He also shared his experience in handling customers and about the completed projects. The session was very interactive as the resource person asked frequent questions and made students & faculty to answer them. This event came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by the Association Secretary.
Energy Literacy Training on 14.09.2023
With reference to the circular from AICTE, the NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology organized the awareness program about “Energy Literacy Training” in the Energy Swaraj Foundation Portal. The NSS Program Officer, Mr. S. Balamurugan, explained the steps to register the students in the Energy Swaraj Foundation Portal. The students were actively registered on the portal.
Training Program for Teacher at AAA College Campus on 09.09.2023
The students science forum organised a training program for teacher at AAA college campus on 09.09.2023. Eminent nuclear scientist Dr Daniel Chellappa address the gathering. Mr Vasan founder of SSF and Dr Sekar principal were present during the meeting. A large number of teacher participants attended the meeting and learnt how to teach STEM to school students.
Book Exhibition on 09.09.2023
A book exhibition on swami Vivekananda organised by Ramakrishna Vivekananda Peravai on 9.9.23 at AAACET campus. Students and faculty saw the exhibits and learnt about the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Dr. M. Sekar Principal opened the exhibition and Dr. Padmanabhan ASP/ ECE organised the event.
