Lab courses Handled in the Lab:
- EC8711 – Embedded Laboratory (IV Year – VII Semester)
- EC8661 – VLSI Design Laboratory (III Year – VI Semester)
Embedded systems lab helps the students to improve their knowledge on architecture, programming and interfacing of several processors and microcontrollers. The features and facilities available in this lab help the students to do their projects and enhance their knowledge on the latest trends and technologies. Students should be able to understand the basic components of a computer, write C language programs that perform I/O functions and implement simple data structures, manipulate numbers in multiple formats, and understand how software uses global memory to store permanent information and the stack to store temporary information. The objective of the lab is
- To enable the students to program, simulate and test the ARM processor based circuits and their interfaces
- To enable the students to program various devices using KIEL software
- To provide a platform for the students to do multidisciplinary projects
- To gain experience in programming languages that are used in current industrial practice
- To do research and develop the embedded systems platform for future applications.
