Tamil Nadu Traffic Police Department organized a Road Safety Awareness Program on 20.06.2022 for the NSS Volunteers at Anil Marriage Hall, Sivakasi. NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering & Technology participated in this program. This program was inaugurated by Mr. M.Manohar I.P.S, Superindentent of Police, Virudhunagar District. He explained the steps to prevent road accidents in our city. Around 20 NSS volunteers from our college participated in this program. The police officer elaborated about the formation of volunteer’s team along with the officials. This program was coordinated by Physical Director Mr.M.Veerukkannan and NSS unit coordinator Mr.S.Balamurugan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
Alumni Meet on 12.06.2022
The Second Alumni meet was conducted in the college campus on June 12,2022 in Kamarajar Auditorium, Oxford block at 11 AM. More than 60 Alumni from various batches gathered for the meeting. Dr.C. Senthil Kumar, Professor and Head/EEE welcomed the gathering. Mr.G.Guru Prakash, President honoured Dr. P. Ganesan Correspondent and Dr.K.Vignesh Kumar Joint Secretary with shawl. Dr. M.Sekar, Principal briefed about the placement achievements of our institution. Dr. P. Ganesan Correspondent presented the future plans of the institution and steps taken by the management for development. Dr. K.Vignesh Kumar, Joint Secretary elaborated the steps taken by the management to improve employability skills and job opportunities for the students in the upcoming years. Alumni members shared their college experience, sweet memories during the period of study and suggested inputs for the growth of the institution. Ms.S.Sivaranjini, Assistant Professor/CSE delivered Vote of Thanks. After the programme, a group photo session was arranged. The meeting came to an end by 2 PM.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATION – 21/06/2022
As per the circular from the AICTE, New Delhi, International Yoga Day 2022 was celebrated on 21.06.2022 at AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi. The NSS Volunteers actively participated in the demonstration with all eagerness. NSS Volunteer Mr.K.Brahadeesh Balan explained the benefits of yoga. The performance was stimulating the students. Our college Physical Director Mr.M.Veerukkannan insisted to practice yoga for better health & fitness. Many students and staff members gained more information about the importance of Yoga. This program was coordinated by NSS unit coordinator Mr.S.Balamurugan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
Online awareness program on “National Level Competition on Reverse Engineering” on 09.06.2022
The SAE India Southern section was conducting “National Level Competition on Reverse Engineering” for student’s online webinar on 09.06.2022 at CAD/CAM Laboratory, Cambridge Block. The Chief Guest Mr.S.Shanmugam, SAE Southern section , Students activities section secretary, delivered importance of this competition and give detail about reverse engineering and scope of reverse engineering in industry, Dr.P.Seenikannan HOD/Mechanical delivered important features reverse engineering and scope in Mechanical Engineering. Mr.M.Nagendran AP/Mech was welcome chief guest, Mr.A.Vignesh Moorthy Pandian AP/Mech was arrange this event and 58 students of SAE members attended this event.
WORKSHOP ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS (IPRS) AND IP MANAGEMENT FOR START UP – 30/05/2022
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of AAA College of Engineering organized a “One day Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and IP Management for Start Up” on 30th May 2022. The program was held at AAACET Cambridge Block, Sir Visvesvaraya Hall. The Program was initiated with a welcome address by Mr.R.Karthikeyan Student IIC Coordinator and the Chief guest introduction was addressed by Mr.N.Anantharaman IPR Student Coordinator. Dr.G.Vairamuthu, IIC President & Mr.G.Manikandaraja IPR Coordinator Honoring the chief guest.
Dr.J.Deny President IIC, KARE, Innovation Ambassador Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education, Krishnankovil, Srivilliuthur, Tamilnadu. He delivered a lecture on the following topics.
- Intellectual Property Rights.
- IPRs verus Industrial Tie – ups
- IP Management for Start ups.
Around More than 100 Students and 10 faculty were eagerly participated in this program. Finally, the Program was ended up with an interactive live questions and answers.
Seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Waste Recycling’ held on 17-05-2022
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) – AAACET jointly organized a seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Waste Recycling’ on 17-05-2022 at 10.00 a.m.
Dr.G.Vairamuthu, President, IIC presided over the event. The event started with a welcome address by Mr. M. Sivasankar, AP/Civil, EDC Coordinator and it was followed by the chief guest introduction provided by Mrs. S. Gajalakshimi, AP/S&H. Dr. M. Sekar, the Principal, delivered the special address about that session. Mr. T. Amalraj, the proprietor of Joe Engineering, Chennai, the resource person of the seminar explained about various environmental issues that rose due to the improper waste disposal and about various entrepreneurship opportunities in the waste recycling field. He explained various waste recycling methods for different kinds of waste products. He mainly focused on the paper waste recycling. He explained how the papers are manufactured and the procedure to be followed for waste paper recycling. Also, he explained the procedure for manufacturing new paper products from paper waste. Finally, he gave some waste recycling project ideas to the participants to implement in their projects. The event wound up with an interactive live question and answers session and it ended with the certificate distribution. Vote of thanks was delivered by T. Arunkumar, I year ECE. Totally 118 participants of various departments partake in this session. Finally, the session came to an end at 12.40 p.m. with the national anthem.
Guest lecture on “Importance and necessity of getting training of Computer Application of Structural Engineering Analysis & Design Software” – 20.05.2022
The Department of Civil Engineering organized a Guest Lecture on “Importance and necessity of getting training of Computer Application of Structural Engineering Analysis & Design Software under the guidance of Professional Structural Engineer who is well versed in using such software” on 20/05/2022 (Friday) at 11.00 am in the Sir Isaac Newton Seminar Hall, Cambridge Block, II floor. Prof. P.Rajayogan, President, ASCE India Section was the resource person for the Guest lecture. All Faculty members and students from I Year, II year, III year & IV Year B.E. Civil Engineering attended the program.
The Guest lecture motivated the students to get training of Staad Pro software from a Professional Structural Engineer as it would help them in checking the accuracy of results. The resource person illustrated various real time problems and demonstrated the analysis of moving loads. The resource person also highlighted the various opportunities available for Civil Engineers in India and Abroad and the art of overcoming the challenges faced during execution of work. The participants attended the guest lecture with full interest and cleared their doubts during the question and answer session. This Guest lecture came to an end with participants sharing their feedback.
Madurai Muthamizh Mandram’s Book Release Program – 20.05.2022
The Literary Club of AAACollege of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi and Madurai Muthamizh Mandram conducted, Dr. V. Sankaralinganar’s ‘Perunthalaivar Kamarajar 100’ book release program on 20.05.2022. The program started with the prayer song and then the introductory speech by Dr. M. P. Indra Devi, Assistant Professor, Physics. Dr. M. Sekar, the principal of the college delivered the welcome address. Dr. A. Manivannan, Additional Superintendent of Police of Virudhunagar District released the book. Dr. P. Ganesan, the correspondent of the college delivered the presidential address. Kurumba Thilagar, R. Ravi and Dr. A. Manivannan, Additional Superintendent of Police of Virudhunagar District delivered the special address. The management of AAACollege of Engineering and Technology honoured the digniteries with the shawl and memento. Dr. V. Sankaralinganar delivered the acceptance speech. Ms. M. Sarojadevi of I year Civil delivered the vote of thanks.

Hands on Training on ‘How to write simple python programs for civil engineering applications’ – 14/05/2022
The Department of Civil Engineering in association with CESA organized a Hands on Training on “How to Write Simple Python Programs for Civil Engineering Applications” on 14-05-2022 at 03.00 p.m in Sir Issac Newton Seminar hall, Cambridge Block. Dr.V.Vivek, Assistant Professor/CSE conducted the training. All the Civil Engineering students attended the training. Dr.V.Vivek elaborated on the concept of python programs and training was given to the students on writing simple programs by using python language and students were made to practise the same. Dr.V.Vivek clarified the doubts raised by the participants. The Training program came to an end at 4.30 p.m.

The Department of Civil Engineering in association with CESA organized a Technical Seminar on “Zero Waste in Construction” on 07-05-2022 at 04.00 p.m in Sir Issac Newton Seminar hall, Cambridge Block. Mr.S.Dinesh, Assistant Professor/Civil Engineering presented the seminar. All the Civil Engineering students and faculty attended the seminar. Mr.S.Dinesh elaborated on the concept, need, advantages and disadvantages of Zero Waste in Construction. Mr.S.Dinesh clarified the doubts raised by the participants.
