The unit of IIC-AAACET celebrated National Technology Day at the AAACET campus. President Dr.G. Vairamuthu, ASP / MECH welcomed the gathering and inaugurated the session. Convener Mr.M.S.Kalyana Sundaram, AP / EEE briefed about the purpose of celebrating the National Technology Day on May 11th of every year and motivated the participants to develop innovative projects. As a part of this celebration, an intra-level project-expo was conducted by the IIC-AAACET and 12 teams from various departments participated in this event and presented their innovative prototypes includes the following area such as IoT, Robotics, Power converters, Smart Vehicles and Machine design. The best three prototypes were selected by the jury Dr. R. Vivek, AP / CSE and it were awarded with the prizes and certificates. The arrangement for the project expo was done by the event coordinator Mr.C.Shanmugaraja, AP / ECE.The event coordinator. Mrs. G. Kavitha, AP / CSE thanked all the participants during vote of thanks.

Seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Waste Recycling’ – 17/05/2022
Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) – AAACET jointly organized a seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship Opportunities in Waste Recycling’ on 17-05-2022 at 10.00 a.m.
Dr.G.Vairamuthu, President, IIC presided over the event. The event started with a welcome address by Mr. M. Sivasankar, AP/Civil, EDC Coordinator and it was followed by the chief guest introduction provided by Mrs. S. Gajalakshimi, AP/S&H. Dr. M. Sekar, the Principal, delivered the special address about that session. Mr. T. Amalraj, the proprietor of Joe Engineering, Chennai, the resource person of the seminar explained about various environmental issues that rose due to the improper waste disposal and about various entrepreneurship opportunities in the waste recycling field. He explained various waste recycling methods for different kinds of waste products. He mainly focused on the paper waste recycling. He explained how the papers are manufactured and the procedure to be followed for waste paper recycling. Also, he explained the procedure for manufacturing new paper products from paper waste. Finally, he gave some waste recycling project ideas to the participants to implement in their projects. The event wound up with an interactive live question and answers session and it ended with the certificate distribution. Vote of thanks was delivered by T. Arunkumar, I year ECE. Totally 118 participants of various departments partake in this session. Finally, the session came to an end at 12.40 p.m. with the national anthem.
Self Drive car challenges 2022 on 13.05.2022
The SAE India Southern section was conducting “Self Drive car challenges 2022” for student’s online webinar on 13.05.2022 at Thomas Alva Edison hall, Cambridge Block. The Chief Guest Mr.Praveen kumar MC member, SAE India Southern section, Chennai, delivered importance of this competition and give detail about following topics

The department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with IETE students chapter, AAA College of Engineering and Technology organized one day workshop on “IOT WITH ANDROID APP” on 30.04.2022. Two Days National Level Technical Symposium on 29.04.2022 & 30.04.2022
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized Two Days National Level Technical Symposium “AMPHEROZ’22” on 29.04.2022 and 30.04.2022. The symposium events were inaugurated by the Chief guest, MR. N. PREMKUMAR, Founder & Managing Director, Promho Engineering Solutions Pvt., Ltd., Chennai. Around 120 participants from various Engineering and Polytechnic colleges were actively participated in this programme. Students organized Technical and non-technical contests for the participants in day1 of the programme. And the day2 is devoted for the workshop on Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in two different venues. The winners were honored with the prizes and certificates and also participants thanked the department as well as college for giving such a memorable day. In day2, the workshop on Internet of things was conducted by Dr. S. Saravanan, AP / EEE and Mr. M. S. Kalyana Sundaram, AP/ EEE. They gave hands on practice on Node MCU based IoT experiments at Centre of IIoT laboratory, AAACET. Another workshop named ‘Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning’ was conducted by Dr. E. Sivasankar, AP / CSE, National Institute of Technology, Trichy. In this workshop, the participants were exposed with the various machine learning algorithms and they understood the concept of artificial intelligence and its importance in computer vision applications.
Blood Donation Camp – 07/05/2022
With reference to the requisition letter from the Health Department, Virudhunagar, NSS unit & Rotaract Club of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi organized a “Blood Donation Camp” for all students and staff in association with Virudhunagar Government Hospital and Primary Health Centre Amathur. This camp was inaugurated by Dr.J.Dharmaraja, Head of the Department, Science and Humanities, Dr.S.Sevugarajan, Head of the Department, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Dr.Bala Vignesh, MBBS, Government Medical College, Virudhunagar. Our College Principal Dr.M.Sekar encouraged students to donate blood as it is not harmful and the body of the donor can regenerate the blood within a few days. Our district collector Shri.J.Meghanatha Reddy, I.A.S visited the camp and appreciated the blood donors and volunteers for their service. More than 100 volunteers came forward to donate blood and 100units of blood were collected by health officials. The donors were provided with a certificate. This camp was coordinated by P.S.R. Senthil Maharaj, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, NSS unit coordinator Mr. S. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Mr. M. Veerukkanann, Physical Director.
WORLD INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DAY CELEBRATION – IDEATHON – 22 ON 26/04/2022
The Institute Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of AAACET, has jointly organized the One Day Session On “World Intellectual Property Day Celebration – IDEATHON – 22” on 26th April 2022 at 10.00 am. Dr.G.Vairamuthu ASP/Mech/ President IIC who preside over the event. The event started with a welcome address by Mr.P.Amarnath, IV Year, Mech, IPR Student Co-ordinator IIC. Followed by G.Manikandaraja, IPR Coordinator, IIC, who gave a brief about the Intellectual, and patent filling of the event conducted at AAACET.
Dr.A.Marrikanna, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Prof.A.Shanmugaraja Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi, was the Judges for this IDEATHON – 22.
The World Intellectual Property Day Celebration targeted for our B.E students who are eager and express their Innovative idea and it should be very useful and adapted for social issues. Written Ideas are selected and called one by one students for presentation or demonstrated and discussion for novel ideas of their work. The event was backed-up from the participant’s end with an interactive live Question and Answers session. The event came to an end with a vote of thanks from Mr.Anatharaman Student Social Media, Co-ordinator IIC. Around 35 students and faculties were eagerly participated for the IDEATHON – 22
Workshop on Prototype / process Design and Development-Prototyping – 13/04/2022
The Institution Innovation Council (IIC) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of AAA College of Engineering organized a “One day Workshop on Prototype / process Design and Development-Prototyping” on 13.04.2022. The Programme was conducted at Thomas Alva Edison Hall. Ms.Swetha, Third Year, Department of ECE, Student Co-ordinator IIC, extended a warm greeting to the delightful gathering followed by Dr.G.Vairamuthu, President, IIC, who gave a brief about the workshop conducted at AAACET.
Er.C.Jai Kumar, Managing Director, CADD Academy, Madurai, was the resource person for this workshop. The Resource person listed out the features of 3D printing and scanning and its types and pointed out the benefits of 3D printing. Objectives of 3D Printing are to develop feedstock customized for 3D-printing at reduced cost, to increase knowledge on modelling & characterizations and develop specific tools, to define and establish standardization, regulatory issues, qualifications and risks analysis. Benefits of 3D Printing are rapid prototyping, most cost-effective manufacturing process, Flexibility, Better quality parts/product, Consistency, Risk reduction, easy accessibility. During the feedback session, the participants interacted with the resource person and clarified their queries regarding this policy. Nearly 90 students and 6 faculty members were participated in this workshop. Ms.P.Sakthipriya, Third Year, Department of ECE delivered the Vote of Thanks. Finally the Programme was ended with national anthem.
Workshop on Robotic Intelligence using Rapberry pi – 06/04/2022
The unit of IIC-AAACET organized a workshop on “Robotic Intelligence using Rapberry pi” on 06.04.2022 at Kamarajar Auditorium, AAACET Campus. Principal Dr.M.Sekar presided over the session and inaugurated the programmes. The President of the IIC-AAACET, Dr. G. Vairamuthu, ASP / MECH welcomed the gathering. The students belong to the Department of Science and Humanities actively participated in this workshop. The technical team from Livewire Technologies, private limited, Sivakasi handled the session. They gave an eye-opening session on Internet of Things and Raspberry Pi to the participants. The crew demonstrated the various Raspberry pi based innovative projects to the participants and explained in brief about the development process. The participants interacted with the speakers and the management for arranging such expert session for digging their innovative ideas.
FDP on “Project Planning & Construction Scheduling Using Primavera P6R 20 Software” – 08/04/22 to 12/04/22
The Department of Civil Engineering organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Project Planning & Construction Scheduling Using Primavera P6R 20 Software” from 08/04/2022 to 12/04/2022 in the CAD/CAM laboratory, Cambridge Block, I floor. Mr.D.Bharathi Pandian, Senior Functional Consultant from Infinity PMC solutions Pvt Ltd. was the resource person for the course. All Civil Engineering faculties of our college & six external faculty members participated in the FDP.
Primavera is an advanced software for project management, planning, scheduling and controlling of small and large scale projects. The five days course helped our faculty to develop skills on handling projects, tracking progress, monitoring & visualizing project performance. The participants attended all the sessions with full interest and cleared their doubts during the question and answer session. The five days FDP came to an end with participants sharing their feedback.
