JOINT CERTIFICATION TRAINING PROGRAM ON TYRE CHANGER AND WHEEL BALANCER – 26.07.2022 & 27.07.2022
The Department of Mechanical Engineering of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi and BOSCH jointly organized a “JOINT CERTIFICATION TRAINING PROGRAM ON “TYRE CHANGER AND WHEEL BALANCER” for the final year mechanical engineering students of AAACET sivakasi. The program was conducted on 26.07.2022 & 27.07.2022 at college Bosch- Center for Excellence Building.
The Inauguration function was conducted on 26.07.2022 and the gathering has been welcomed by Dr.C. Senthil Kumar, HoD / EEE and honour the resource person and present importance of technical skill program. Hands-on technical training was given by Mr.Aakash Mohanan, BOSCH Local Trainer-Kerala. The Resource Person presented the salient features of Wheel Geometry and factor control the wheel balance and alignment. Students learned the technical skill with BOSCH-Wheel Balancer & Tyre changer kit during their practical session. The resource person shares the idea about the scope of automotive servicing jobs. This training session also provide an opportunity for the students to become an entrepreneur in automobile servicing
The valedictory function was conducted at the end of the program on 27.07.2022. Dr.C.Senthil Kumar, HoD/EEE, AAA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY, gave the valedictory note and presented a memento as a token of love and affection to the Resource Person. Online awareness program on “National Level Competition on Reverse Engineering” on 09.06.2022
The SAE India Southern section was conducting “National Level Competition on Reverse Engineering” for student’s online webinar on 09.06.2022 at CAD/CAM Laboratory, Cambridge Block. The Chief Guest Mr.S.Shanmugam, SAE Southern section , Students activities section secretary, delivered importance of this competition and give detail about reverse engineering and scope of reverse engineering in industry, Dr.P.Seenikannan HOD/Mechanical delivered important features reverse engineering and scope in Mechanical Engineering. Mr.M.Nagendran AP/Mech was welcome chief guest, Mr.A.Vignesh Moorthy Pandian AP/Mech was arrange this event and 58 students of SAE members attended this event.
Self Drive car challenges 2022 on 13.05.2022
The SAE India Southern section was conducting “Self Drive car challenges 2022” for student’s online webinar on 13.05.2022 at Thomas Alva Edison hall, Cambridge Block. The Chief Guest Mr.Praveen kumar MC member, SAE India Southern section, Chennai, delivered importance of this competition and give detail about following topics

The event is designed in such a way it gives a real time Industry experience as you will undergo various stages to complete the Challenges Workshop. Mechanical Industrial Visit to Cochin on 08.04.2022 & 09.04.2022
The Department of Mechanical Engineering has organised two days of industrial visits to Cochin, Kerala, for third and final year Mechanical Engineering students on 08/04/2022 and 09/04/2022. A team of 40 students and five faculty members participated in the industrial visit. On the first day of their visit (08/04/2022) students visited Indian oil corporation limited, Cochin. The visit started with a company presentation briefing about the oil refinery and its safety processes, which was then followed by our industry tour. Students acquired detailed knowledge of various refining operations used to produce gasoline, diesel, or other hydrocarbon products. The next day, students visited BH Mammi Iron and Steel Industry, Sea Blue Shipyard, Kerala Archaeological Museum and LuLu Mall in Cochin.

RULES AND DESCRIPTION
TECHNICAL EVENTS:
QUIZ ( an event for ignited minds) :
- Team size – 2 members.
- 1st Elimination rounds:
- Questions will be asked from Mechanical fundamentals (70%) and Basic Science (30%).
- Written test (MCQ type).
- Top 5 teams will be selected to Round 2
- 2nd Main Quiz (questions will be asked from mechanical fundamentals) :
- Mechanical (70%), Basic science (15%) & General awareness (15%).
- Top 3 teams will be awarded for cash price.
PAPER PRESENTATION (15-20 slides in ppt) :
- Your work should be original and in the specified format.
- Interested candidates are advised to mail the complete paper in IEEE format and presentation in .PPT or .PPTX format.
- Team can have maximum of 3 participants from B.Tech/B. E/ Diploma.
- No participants can be part of more than one team.
Paper
- The competition is open to Mechanical engineering Domain.
- Students are requested to send their papers on mecdez_mech@aaacet.ac.in.
- The participants of shortlisted candidates will be informed by E-Mail ID or by Mobile.
- The selected teams have to bring a soft copy of paper in USB Device
- Decision of the judges and the event heads shall be treated as final and binding on all and cannot be contested.
- Hard copies of the same are to be submitted before presentation to Judges.
PPT
- Titles should be related to Mechanical domain.
- Graphical abstract preferable, abstract 1 slide with diagram.
- Problem identification or survey report (1 slide – compare to the existing one with picture)
- Methods (2 slides) and techniques (3 slides)
- Result & discussion pages (minimum 5 slides)
- The paper submitted will have to be presented during the event.
- The Teams will get 8 minutes to present their paper. And 2 minutes will be for questioning by judges.
- Certificate of Excellence will be given to winners
- Certificates of participation will be given to all teams that have participated in contest
MINIBIKE
- Bikes should be in 80 CC.
- Bikes should be Fabricated by participants only, Purchased or borrowed bikes not allowed
- Safety Aspect is mandatory. (Helmet and other’s required)
- Only one chance will give to complete the off-road LAP.
- Winner will select based upon the following mark evaluation,
- how fast(duration) participants complete the Lap (track) – 70 Mark
- Concept of Bike design – 20 Marks
- Viva answer & Bike style – 10 Marks
- Certificate of Excellence will be given to winners
- Certificates of participation will be given to all teams that have participated in contest
CAD MODELLING
- The competition is open to all engineering students having knowledge on CREO
- Each team has to prepare 3D Model for the given component
- Evaluation is based on completion of job with all details at the earliest time
- The organizers will reject incomplete, inconsistent or improper drawings. Furthermore, the organizers will not return submitted drawings
- The decision of the jury shall be final and binding
- All entrants are regarded as having a full understanding of the regulations for the competition and as being willing to comply with every rule
- Certificate of Excellence will be given to winners
- Certificates of participation will be given to all teams that have participated in contest
WATER ROCKET
- Rocket and its component must be handmade. Readymade is not allowed.
- Variety of design is possible including multi stage rocket.
- Two trails allowed per rocket, basic trail considered as final result
NON TECHNICAL EVENTS:
BREAK THE HURDLE
- Check the physically fitness before joining this event.
- Track suit and proper t-shirts necessary.
FREE FIRE
- Classic Squad only.
- Use own network.
- Headphones must.
- No hack (if we identify, we will disqualify the team)
BGMI
- Rules same as free fire.
- IOS also allowed.
PHOTOGRAPHY
- Individual person performance.
- Only one photo is allowed submit finally and without any edit or filter.
- Images should be in natural.
- Images can be taken anywhere in our college campus.
- Should express the reason and awareness from this pic taken.

Four Days International Certification Course on “AUTODESK FUSION 360”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi and ICT Academy jointly organized a “Four Days INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATION COURSE on AUTODESK FUSION 360” for Final year and passed out Mechanical Engineering Students. The program was conducted for four days from 27.09.2021 to 30.09.2021. The Inauguration function was conducted from 27.09.2021 and the Resource Person presented the salient features of AUTODESK FUSION 360. The hands-on technical training was given by Mr. S. Balamurugan, Assistant Professor, AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi. Participants gained familiarity with AUTODESK FUSION 360 by modelling various components. International Certificate exam by AUTODESK was conducted on 30.09.2021, 42 students attended the exam an all the students cleared the exam and were certified by AUTODESK International certificate. The valedictory function was conducted at the end of the program on 30.09.2021. Mr. P.S.R. Senthil Maharaj, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering welcomed the gathering. Dr.P.Seenikannan, Head of the Department, Mechanical Engineering addressed the gatherings and talked about the placements through this software training and distributed the certificates.
