With an aim to ignite patriotism among the students, the NSS unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology organized a lecture emphasizing the importance of the Indian flag on the occasion of National Flag Day. The chief guest, Dr. T. Senthil, Associate Professor, took part in a session to make the students and staff aware of the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces and also the significance of the day in our lives. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of observing the day as “Flag Day.” He said National Flag Day is dedicated to commemorating the courage of servicemen as well as collecting welfare funds through the distribution of flags from the citizens of India to assist in the rehabilitation of ex-servicemen in need and aid the widows and dependents of martyrs. All the NSS volunteers attended this program. This programme was coordinated by the NSS unit coordinator, Mr. S. Balamurugan, and physical director, Mr. M. Veerukkannan.
VOTER ID REGISTRATION CAMP on 07.12.2022
With reference to the circular (இ/3777/2021) dated 22-11-2022 from the Election department, Virudhunagr, NSS unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi, organized the Voter ID Registration Camp on 07.12.2022 in the college campus. The College Principal, Dr. M. Sekar honored the chief guests with a memento. The Chief guest, Mr.K.Ponraj, Special Tahsildar, Social Welfare Department, Virudhunagar explained the importance of voting in the election process. He insisted all the eligible students submit their new voter application form to the NSS Volunteers. Principal Dr. M. Sekar insisted the students should come forward to vote in all the elections to participate in the democratic process. Totally 110 students get benefitted from this camp. This Voter Registration Camp was coordinated by the NSS unit coordinator Mr. S. Balamurugan, and Physical Director Mr.M.Veerukkannan.

SPECIAL AADHAAR CAMP – 22.11.2022
As per the instruction given by the Government of India, the NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi & Sivakasi Post office jointly organized the two days special aadhar camp in our college on the 22nd & 23rd of November, 2022. Our college principal Dr. M. Sekar welcomed the chief guest Mr.B.Appalaswamy, Superintendent of Post offices. This camp was initiated by Mr.B.Appalaswamy, Superintendent of Post offices, Virudhunagar Division. The college principal highlighted the importance of the Aadhaar card among the students and also insisted the students correct their details on the Aadhar card. To provide Aadhaar card-related enrollment and updation services hassle-free to our college students & Staff members, NSS Volunteers successfully organized this camp.
Constitution Day – 26.11.2022
With reference to the circular (Letter No.3732/CS/GOI/OP-1/2022-1) dated 24-11-2022 from the Law Department, NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology celebrated the Indian Constitution Day on 26.11.2022 in the Library Reading Hall. The history of this special day was delivered by our beloved professor Mr.K.S.Srinivas. From this speech, everyone understood that the Constitution of India is the supreme law of India. Constitution Day speech was organized during which the volunteers read the preamble and briefed about the fundamental laws of the constitution that everyone should be aware of. The chief guest Dr.J.Dharmaraja, Head of the department of science & humanities, insisted that our constitution provides fundamental rights to the citizen of our country. 8 Volunteers participated in the elocution competition with the title of “How Indian Constitution Provides Freedom to their citizens compared to other countries”. More than 50 volunteers and 5 staff members attended this program. The program was coordinated by the NSS unit coordinator Mr.S.Balamurugan & Dr.MP.Indira Devi, Assistant Professor.
Awareness Program on Post Office Savings Scheme – 23.11.2022
The NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi & Sivakasi Post office jointly organized the awareness program on the postal savings scheme in the college on 23rd of November, 2022. The college principal Dr. M. Sekar welcomed the chief guest Mr. S. Ramaswamy, Inspector of Posts, Virudhunagar Division. On this occasion, the Chief Guest explained the savings schemes in the postal sector and also highlighted the importance of savings to the students. He explained various schemes available in the post office like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, Public Provident Fund & RD Account, etc. This awareness program was coordinated by Dr.J.Dharmaraja, Head of the Department of Science & Humanities & the NSS unit coordinator Mr. S. Balamurugan.

CLEAN INDIA – CLEAN CAMPUS PROGRAM – 02.09.2022
As per the instruction given by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi conducted a “Clean India – Clean Campus” Program on 02-09-2022 on the college campus. The volunteers cleaned the college campus by wearing gloves and collected all the plastic waste materials. NSS Volunteer G.Muneeswari (II Year ECE) insisted all the students keep their classes clean by dropping the waste in the dustbin. This program was coordinated by NSS unit coordinator Mr.S.Balamurugan, Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering, and Mr.M.Veerukkannan, Physical Director.
Drive Against Drug – Awareness Rally – 11.08.2022
As per the instruction given by the Higher Education Department – Chennai, NSS Unit of AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi attended the program on 11-08-2-22 at Government Medical College, Virudhunagar. In this program, Tamilnadu Ministers Mr.Thangam Thennarasu, Mr.K.K.S.S.R.Ramachandran & the District Collector Mr.J.Meghanatha Reddy I.A.S emphasized the harmful effects and the risks associated with using alcohol and other drugs. They stressed the importance of awareness campaigns about drug abuse among students and insisted the students convey this information to their parents, relatives & nearby places. After this program, Our NSS volunteers organized the awareness rally on 11-08-2022 at Amathur. In this rally, volunteers insisted all the students & people at amathur, not to touch drugs in their life and also take the pledge against drug usage. NSS Volunteers eagerly participated in the rally. This awareness rally was coordinated by the NSS unit coordinator Mr. S. Balamurugan, UBA Coordinator Mr.R.Meby Selvaraj & Dr.V.Vivek, Assistant Professor of Computer Science Engineering.
