Overseas Education and Career Guidance on 15.12.2020
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and AAACET alumni association jointly organize an online webinar on “Overseas Education and Career Guidance” on 15-12-2020 (3 PM to 4 PM) for the students. The Resource person for this programme is AAACET’s Aluminus Mr. S. Raj (EEE 2013-2017 Batch) who is currently pursuing Masters in Engineering Management, University of York, United Kingdom. E-certificate will be provided for all the participants.
Two Days Hands on Training on Internet of Things on 30.07.2020 & 06.08.2020
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, AAA College of Engineering and Technology, conducted a Hands-on training program on “Internet of Things” for school teachers on 30/07/2020 & 06/08/2020. This training program was conducted at the centre of IIoT in AAACET campus. The day one session was focused on the basics of the Arduino development board. The participants were trained in writing basic Arduino programs.
The second day of the program continued with the introduction of the sensors and I/O interfacing with Arduino. The different types of sensors, actuators, and wireless communication devices were introduced. All the participants got hands-on experience in developing various IoT projects. All the technical sessions were conducted by Mr. S. Saravanan & Mr. M. S. Kalyana Sundaram, Assistant Professors, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
National Level Workshop on “Real Time Project Design using ARDUINO Tools &Techniques” on 06.02.2020 & 07.02.2020
Aiming to provide an intense training on Arduino tools and techniques for implementation of new innovative technical ideas into real time project, a two-day National level workshop on “Real Time Project Design Using Arduino-Tools & Techniques” was conducted at AAA College of Engineering and Technology, Sivakasi on 6-02-2010 and 7-02-2010.The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering hosted this event in Association with Centre for IIoT supported by Riyasaa Lab.For seeking the choicest blessings by kindling the lamp of knowledge and wisdom, the workshop is inaugurated with the lighting of our traditional lamp by our admirable Principal Dr.M.Sekar and our beloved Head of the Department Dr.C.Senthil Kumar.In Presidential address, Principal Dr.M.Sekar quoted that, “From the perspective of making career in Robotics/IOT, learning Arduino should be the first step”. He congratulated all the participants for being part of this workshop and requested them to utilize the two days for learning Arduino tools and techniques in depth. Dr.C.Senthil Kumar welcomed the gathering with his warm note. Dr.A.Shenbagarajan, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Mrs.K.Padmapriya, Assistant Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mr.M.S.Kalyanasundaram, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering handled the two days sessions effectively by providing more hands on training to the participants in Arduino kits. The student members demonstrated their projects in Arduino techniques to the participants and motivated them to execute their innovative ideas into real time project design. Nearly 50 participants from reputed Polytechnic Colleges and Engineering colleges participated in this workshop and got benefited. Dr.C.Senthil Kumar, Head of the Department, distributed the certificates certificates to participants in the valedictory function. Dr.R.Sivasangari and Mrs.L.Krishnaveni, Coordinators made necessary arrangement for the workshop.
Career Opportunities for Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Students in Merchant Navy on 29.01.2020
The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted a guest lecture on the topic of Career Opportunities for Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Students in the Merchant Navy on 29.01.2020 (Wednesday). The resource persons from the RL Institute of Nautical Science, Madurai delivered a lecture for Electrical and Electronics Engineering students and Mechanical Engineering students. Faculties from RL Institute of Nautical Science, Madurai, HOD of Marine Engineering, Dr. M. Kumarasamy, Senior Faulty & Admission Officer, Mr. B. Meenakshi Sundaram and Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mr. S. Thiyagarajan are the guest speakers for this lecture.
Principal, Dr. M. Sekar presided over the function. III-year student, Selvan. Santhosh Paul welcomed the gathering. Principal addressed the students about the opportunities available in the marine engineering for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering students. Head of the department, Dr. C. Senthil Kumar delivered the inaugural address. He stressed that the opportunities in the merchant navy are more and the growth of a person is guaranteed. II-year student, Selvan. R. Ajay Sankar delivered a vote of thanks.
Mr. B. Meenakshi Sundaram briefed about the courses for getting career opportunities in the merchant navy, the interview process, salary details, wide career opportunities, and personal growth.

Three Days Certificate Course on “MATLAB – Simulink for Electrical Engineering” from 24.06.2019 to 26.06.2019
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized three days value added course on “MATLAB – SIMULINK FOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING” for III year EEE students from 24/06/2019 to 26/06/2019. Nearly 30 students participated in this training programme. This value added course was designed for beginners to use MATLAB Simulink for electrical engineering applications. The course covered hands-on training on tool box usage, library functions and simulation of electronic circuits.At the end of the training simulation based mini project works were assigned to the students. The value added course will help the students to do their laboratory courses and project work.

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a One Day Industrial Visit to Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant on 15.02.2019. The students understood the concept of electrical energy generation and transmission. They visited the turbine unit, generator unit and generating side transformers. This visit gave more information about the types of nuclear reactor and types of generator used for generating electricity.
