Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a One Day Industrial Visit to Lovely Ofset Printers Pvt. Ltd., Sivakasi on 19.09.2018. This industrial visit was most useful to the students in the way of understood the concept of different types of sensors, electrical drives and control used in the printing machineries. And also understood the concepts behind the 3D printing.
Workshop on Productive Tools for Writing Journals and Articles on 07.01.2019 & 08.01.2019
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized Two days National Level Workshop entitled with “Productive Tools for Writing Journal and Articles” from January 07th to 08th 2019. As a cumulative, 40 number of faculties, research scholars and students from various institutions were eagerly participated in this workshop. Principal Dr. M. Sekar, presided over the function and delivered his felicitation address to the participants. During his address, he pointed out the importance of the workshop and also motivated the participants to develop the journal writing skills with the aid of modern tools. Head of the department, Dr. C. Senthil Kumar gave his inaugural address where he explained the importance of tools that are used for journal preparation. He also discussed the essential qualities of a good research paper.
In the first day of workshop, productive features of Microsoft word and Microsoft visio were introduced and hands on training was provided for all the participants. Mr. M. S. Kalyana Sundaram, Assistant Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering presented the various advanced features available in Microsoft word 2016. Mr. S. S. Dheeban, Assistant Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering delivered his presentation about the various grammar & spell checking tools available in online. Mr. S. Saravanan, Assistant Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering gave hands on training on Microsoft Visio, where he trained the participants to work with MS visio for creating and exporting the general diagrams, organizational charts, Engineering diagrams, floor plans and plots.
Second day of the programme started with the concepts of Plagiarism checking which was presented by Dr. R. Sivasangari, Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Dr. G. Vairamuthu, Associate Professor of Department of Mechanical Engineering provided his lecture on Journal writing methodologies. He delivered about impact factor, citations, calculation of h-index & i-index. Principal, Dr. M. Sekar shared his knowledge and experience in Endnote-clarivate analytics for thesis preparation. LaTeX is one of the productive tool used for journal & thesis writing. Resource person, Dr. N. Kamatchi, Associate Professor in Department of Mathematics, Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology, Virudhunagar, presented a lecture about the LaTeX tool & its importance. Mr. L. K. Balaji Vignesh, Assistant Professor of Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, assisted the hands on training session. During valedictory function, certificates were distributed to all the participants. Mr. S. Saravanan, Assistant Professor of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, extended his gratitude for the supporters and participants.
National Level Technical Symposium on 11.08.2017
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of AAA College of engineering and technology was conducted first ‘National level technical symposium’ “ELECTRIC EELZ 2E3 17” on 11th August 2017. The inauguration was started with welcome address by Student President and inaugurated by The Principal Dr.K.Arulmozhi with the quote of ‘How presentation Improves Students Personality’ and the motivation Speech ‘Students success from Inner Confidence’ given by Dr. R.Sivasankari who is Head of the department of EEE with the presence of Event Coordinators Mr R.Ganesan AP/EEE, Mr.C.Karuppasamy AP/EEE, Student President M.Agatin ,Vice President V.Priyadharshini. The major events of National level technical Symposium Contains Paper Presentation, Crazy Electron (Technical quiz) Rescatance( Circuit Debugging) and Dhobai( Best Manager). 42 students of Various College participant has participated and gains their Knowledge with exposing their skills. All the faculty members from EEE department conduct events along with Students. From that Symposium EEE students get the great exposes of current scenario and trending environment in their Field. The winners were Honored by HOD, Coordinators and the season was end with vote thanks given by R.Vijaya raja who is students Secretary to console their thanks to Management, Principal, HOD, faculty members, students and participant from various colleges.
Guest Lecture on “Electrical Drives and Controls” on 27.02.2018
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized a Guest lecture on Electrical Drives and Controls on 27.02.2018 II and III year EEE students. Dr.J.Gnanavadivel, Associate Professor/EEE, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College, Sivakasi was the resource person for the programme. He explained about different types of speed control methods for Electrical drives.
Four Days Hands on Training on Electrician
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organized Four days Hands on Training on Electrician course. Nearly 20 students from I.T.I actively participated in the programme. Practical Training was given on basic wiring, handling of Electrical equipments & tools, troubleshooting, maintenance of Electrical equipments and Soldering practice. Dr.K.Arulmozhi, Principal motivated the participants to learn the practical skills for the expectation of industries. Dr.C.Senthil Kumar, Head of the Department delivered a lecture on Fundamentals of Electrical wiring and Electrical safety in workplace. Dr.R.Sivasangari, Director Vocational courses motivated the students and also handled practical session on Power and Energy measurement. Mr.C.Karuppsamy, Assistant Professor/EEE, made necessary arrangements and coordinated all the activities of the programme. All the Teaching faculty and non-teaching staff from the department handled various session. The participation certificates were distributed to all the participants in the valedictory function. This training will help them to start their career as an Entrepreneur.
Design and Simulation of Power Electronic converters using MATLAB and PSIM on 05.08.2017
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering conducted workshop titled “Design and simulation of power Electronic converters Using MATLAB and PSIM” on 05/08/2017 for Diploma students from various colleges. Around 42 students participated. Mr.C.Karuppasamy, AP/EEE has arranged the programme and also presented about the basics of PSIM simulation. Mr.M.S.Kalyana Sundaram, AP/EEE has presented a lecture on the basics of Power converter and MATLAB simulation. The students gained some basic knowledge in the field of Power Electronic converter design.

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering organizes Two days National Level Technical Workshop on Simulation of Power Electronics Converters using MATLAB and PSIM on 16th & 17th August 2018. This workshop deals about the Converter Design, Controller Design and simulation of the basic converters. This workshop is planned with an aim to learn and implementation aspects of Power Electronics Systems to the Engineering / Diploma students and Faculty. This programme will cover hands-on training in simulation of Power Electronics circuits. The workshop will be beneficial to the Students and Faculty for their Projects and Research work.
